At 5:54 am PST/8:54 am EST February 12, the Full Moon in Leo radiates boldness, creativity, and heart-centered expression as the Sun and Moon oppose each other on the Aquarius/Leo axis. But this isn’t just a time for stepping into the spotlight—it’s a moment of profound healing and transformation, pushing us to break free from limitations, reclaim our power, and move forward with greater authenticity.
This Full Moon forms a T-square with Uranus in Taurus, stirring sudden shifts and disruptions, while also making a harmonious trine to Chiron in Aries, offering us an opportunity for deep emotional healing. Additionally, Uranus trines the South Node in Virgo, reminding us that our past experiences and lessons hold the wisdom needed to navigate this transformation.
This is particularly true for anyone with major fixed energy in their chart (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio), but it will affect everyone wherever they have these signs in their chart. Find out if this is you by signing up to the Lunar Alchemy Collective, where you’ll get full access to this article and instructions on pulling up your chart & learning how the energy is affecting you.
The Polarity of Self & Collective
Every Full Moon illuminates a polarity between two opposing energies, and in this case, we are balancing:
Leo (Self-Expression, Creativity, Heart Energy)—Ruled by the Sun, Leo is about creative potential, personal radiance, and the courage to stand in one’s truth. Leo represents the power of the individual—our unique gifts, desires, and life force energy.
Aquarius (Community, Innovation, Higher Vision)—Ruled by both Saturn and Uranus, Aquarius represents the collective, the future, and the evolution of human consciousness. It teaches us that true progress happens when individuals contribute their unique essence to the greater whole. This Full Moon challenges us to integrate both energies:
Are you fully embracing your authentic Self, or are you dimming your light to fit in?
Are your creative gifts aligned with the future you want to see?
How can you use your unique expression to contribute meaningfully to the collective?
Stepping Into Authenticity

Leo/Aquarius teaches us something profoundly important—each soul incarnated at this moment in time with a purpose. If you’ve ever felt like you were born for something greater, like you have a unique role to play in this shifting world, this Full Moon will make that crystal clear. And if you aren’t living in alignment with that purpose, chances are you will be thrust into it in some way, whether you feel ready or not.
We often hear the phrase "Be your authentic Self," and while it may seem cliché, this has never been more important. This Full Moon illuminates the ways in which you may be using your life force in ways that are out of alignment with what truly lights you up. But the good news? It’s never too late to change.
In this rapidly evolving world, we are being pushed to step into our true Selves—fully, unapologetically, and courageously - because that is the only way forward now.
Breaking Free from Stagnation
With Uranus in Taurus forming a tense T-square to the Sun and Moon, this lunation carries an electric charge that can feel uncomfortable and challenging. Uranus is the planet of rebellion, awakening, and unexpected change—shaking us out of our comfort zones and forcing us to embrace transformation. It has been moving through the slow and steady sign of Taurus since 2018, which has been a difficult journey for the collective, as Uranus has shaken up our access to physical resources and challenged our general perceptions around security.
T-squares create tension that demands action. You may feel this energy in the form of: unpredictable shifts in relationships, career, or self-identity, a deep urge to break free from societal expectations or personal limitations, or an invitation to reinvent yourself and embrace your authentic desires. While this can feel destabilizing, growth happens when we step outside of our comfort zones. The key to working with this energy is surrendering to the unknown rather than resisting change.
Scorpio: The Key to Releasing This Tension
Since this T-square is happening in fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus), the missing link to balance this energy is Scorpio, the sign opposite Taurus.
Scorpio represents deep transformation, emotional intensity, and the power of surrender. It asks us to:
Release emotional baggage that keeps us from embodying our full power.
Move through discomfort instead of avoiding it.
Trust the unknown and allow deep, soul-level changes to unfold.
When we cling too tightly to stability (Taurus), over-identify with ego (Leo), or detach too much from emotion (Aquarius), Scorpio comes in to purge, cleanse, and renew. This full moon asks us to embody the archetype of Scorpio by letting go of control and trusting the process, as well as allowing ourselves to transform and engage in deep emotional work.
Scorpio teaches us that true power lies in surrender—not in holding on too tightly to who we think we should be, but in allowing ourselves to be reborn into something greater.
Finding Balance Between the Heart & Mind

With Leo ruling the heart & spine and Aquarius ruling the nervous system and the lower legs, this lunation asks us to find balance between the heart and the mind. Leo calls us to follow our heart’s desires. Aquarius asks us to zoom out and think of the bigger picture.
Now more than ever, our own direct connection to Source must lead the way. We can’t let emotions cloud our path, but we also can’t over-intellectualize our way forward. The key is to stand firm in the truth of who we are, no matter the external environment—just like the Sun, which shines persistently regardless of what happens around it.
But the Sun does not shine just for itself—it shines to give life. So, what does your light give life to? What are you the creator of? How do your creations contribute to the whole?
This Leo-Aquarius axis teaches us that our wholeness and authenticity are not about self-centeredness or ego—but rather about inspiring others to do the same. By showing up fully as ourselves, we create communities that respect individuality while honoring the collective good.
When we align with our truth, what is best for us naturally aligns with what is best for the collective.
Uranus Trine the South Node in Virgo: Learning from the Past
While Uranus is pushing for radical shifts, it’s also making a harmonious trine aspect to the South Node in Virgo, helping us integrate past lessons into future growth.
This energy reminds us that we already have all the wisdom we need to move forward with discernment, understanding which habits, relationships and beliefs are truly serving us on our authentic path. This energy encourages us to integrate structure and ritual into our daily lives as a source of grounding during upheaval and change. Rather than fear change, we can lean into the skills and resilience we’ve already cultivated, allowing past lessons to serve as a foundation for our next chapter.
A Portal for Healing
The moon in Leo also makes a harmonious trine to Chiron in Aries, the asteroid known as the Wounded Healer. This aspect opens a portal for deep healing in relation to: self-worth & identity wounds—Where have you been hiding your true Self?; courage & confidence—Are you afraid of fully embodying your power?; fear of being seen—What fears or old narratives hold you back from shining?
This trine offers us the opportunity to integrate past wounds as part of our strength. Instead of seeing pain as a limitation, this Full Moon reminds us that healing allows us to step into our greatest expression.

Reflect on what houses in your chart are being illuminated by the Sun & Moon at 24 degrees Leo & Aquarius. If you need help, see this video & this PDF. What first comes to mind when you look at these axes and consider the themes outlined above?
Where am I dimming my light or holding back my true self, and what would it look like to shine fully?
What fears, beliefs, or attachments am I ready to release in order to step into my power?
How can I balance following my heart’s desires while also serving the greater collective?
What bold, heart-centered action am I ready to take in alignment with my highest self?

Work intuitively with Leo or Aquarius Ritual Tools to find more balance on this axis. If you feel you have been more focused on the self, and not on how you can impact the collective, use Aquarius tools. If the other is true, use Leo tools.
To strengthen your connection between the heart & the mind, practice root to crown, heart opening yoga, with poses like mountain, tree, standing split, headstand (or other inversions), heart melting pose, and camel.
