On March 13 (11:52pm PST)/14 (2:52 am EST), the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 23° Virgo calls us into a deep process of purification and surrender. As the first eclipse of the year, and the first in Virgo since 2016, this lunation marks a pivotal turning point—one that urges us to release our attachment to control, perfectionism, and over-analysis. It is an invitation to step into trust and to embrace the unknown, even when uncertainty feels uncomfortable.
This eclipse also closes out a cycle that began with the Virgo New Moon on September 14, 2024. Reflect on the occurrences and intentions you set around that time—how have they evolved? What aspects of your life are now coming to completion?
Personally this eclipse is closing out a potent personal cycle for me. The New Moon that occurred in Sept of last year was exact on my birthday, and initiated a 7 month-long adventure in the current mountain town I moved to after my separation and cross country move. It was the beginning of a beautiful, yet incredibly challenging journey of building new relationships, learning to love and let go, to conquer my fears of failure and rejection, and to build security within myself. As I now prepare to leave this place for the first prolonged period of time since that journey began, I'm met with much gratitude and grief over the experiences, lessons and connections I've had here - knowing that upon my return, nothing will be the same - a gift and a curse of a transient little mountain town.
How do you leave before the story is told, before the ink had dried, before the spark takes hold?
How do you walk when the path is unclear, when the future is open, yet pulling you near?
You leave with faith, with hope, with trust, with whispers of knowing, with love as your gust.
A calling beyond what the eye can see, a purpose unseen, yet destined to be.
The time apart is not the end - just a pause, a shift, a curve in the bend.
A moment, a breath, a fleeting space, leading you deeper into your place.
Wisdom is gathered in steps untaken, in roads untravelled, and lives awakened.
What is yours will never stray - not time, nor distance, not night nor day.
The people, the places, the stories divine - they live beyond the bounds of time.
For time and space are but a dream, the love remains - a constant stream.
Eclipses are cosmic catalysts, accelerating shifts that are already in motion. They usher in fated events, revealing where we need to let go in order to grow. With the South Node in Virgo, we are asked to examine the ways we cling to certainty—how we micromanage outcomes, obsess over details, or struggle to let life unfold organically. Where in your life are you holding on too tightly? What happens when you surrender and trust the bigger picture?
Purification & Release: Virgo Lunar Eclipse's Invitation

Virgo, ruled by Mercury, is the sign of discernment, refinement, and practical wisdom. It governs the rituals and routines that keep us grounded, reminding us that true healing comes from integration, not obsession. Yet, Virgo’s shadow can manifest as self-criticism, over-perfectionism, and an endless quest to “fix” ourselves. This eclipse shines a light on where these patterns may be limiting us rather than supporting our growth.
Since the Virgo-Pisces axis rules health, spirituality, and service, this eclipse may highlight imbalances in these areas. It is an ideal time to assess what is nourishing vs. what is depleting, to cleanse the body and mind, and to create space for deeper alignment. The key is to find harmony between structure and flow, effort and surrender, planning and presence.
The Cosmic Dance: Surrender & Trust
The influence of Neptune in Pisces adds a layer of mysticism to this eclipse, blurring the lines between reality and illusion. Opposing the Virgo Moon, Neptune reminds us that logic alone won’t solve everything—some answers can only be felt. This energy may stir emotions, dreams, and subconscious fears, asking us to release outdated mental constructs and allow intuition to guide us.
Saturn’s presence in Pisces further emphasizes the need to balance discipline with faith. This is not about letting go of responsibility, but rather recognizing that some things are beyond our control. Instead of grasping for certainty, we are asked to develop a new kind of trust—one that is rooted in the wisdom of the present moment.
